RESPONSIBILITIES
CORPORATE
COMMITTEE
The Corporate Committee is the core operational group of the Foundation.
This committee plans, develops and monitors the business affairs
of the Board. From time to time, as the need arises, solicits participation
of select members of the community to serve as Advisory members
in the legal and business management disciplines.
AWARDS
COMMITTEE
The Awards Committee is responsible for reviewing all requests for
funds from the Tyler Catholic School System or requests for extraordinary
expenditures of funds made by a member of the TCSF Board of Directors
or other authorized person of the Tyler Catholic School System.
All requests for funds from the Tyler Catholic School Foundation
shall be in writing and sent to the Awards Committee Chairperson
at least a week before a TCSF Board Meeting. The Awards Committee
Chairperson contacts Award committee members to make a thorough
review of funding requests. At the next Board of Directors meeting
the committee chairperson [or designee] presents the funding request
and the recommendation as determined by a majority vote of the committee.
This committee shall be comprised of Board members with knowledge
concerning expenditures of funds for educational purposes.
DEVELOPMENT
COMMITTEE
The Development Committee is responsible for promotion of future
growth of the Tyler Catholic School Foundation. The committee shall
seek to foster ties with current and potential benefactors.
INVESTMENT
COMMITTEE
The Investment Committee is the prime custodian of the Foundation’s
corpus. This group will be comprised of board members familiar with
and/or with express expertise in investments, estate planning finance
and related disciplines. Investment Objective: The primary objective
of the Portfolio is to provide the Foundation with a high level
of current income as is consistent with the investment policies
of the Foundation and with prudent investment management.
PUBLIC
RELATIONS COMMITTEE
The Public Relations Committee presents the Corporate Image of the
Foundation. It is the media interface between the Foundation and
the community. It is the “personal touch” of the board.
It is comprised of members familiar with and/or with express expertise
in advertising, copy writing, layout design, radio & Television,
or support disciplines, and public affairs.
